Where is my data? On your smartphone, nowhere else. Tiroko has no account and no server: nobody but you can see your inventory. The app backs up locally on its own; the premium tier adds restoring to an earlier date and CSV export.
I changed smartphone — how do I get my inventory back? Restore your old smartphone's general backup (Apple or Google) onto the new one: Tiroko and its data follow. Direct syncing between devices is planned for a future major version.
How do I cancel my subscription? From your smartphone's subscription settings: App Store (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Profile → Payments and subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Your data doesn't move: premium bases stay readable, and CSV export stays available for thirty days so you can take everything with you.
Does the free trial commit me to anything? The 7-day trial turns into a subscription if it isn't cancelled before it ends (handled by Apple or Google). Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
The scanner doesn't recognise my product. The community-run Open Food Facts database covers food above all; a missing product can be typed in by hand, and the app will remember it: next time you scan the same code, the entry fills itself in.
An entry is wrong: wrong category, wrong date… Open the entry and tap the field: everything is editable directly, the name included.
Can I print my QR code labels without a special printer? Yes: the A4 sheet prints on any printer, with dotted cutting lines. A thermal label printer (such as a Niimbot B1, 40 × 30 mm roll) remains the most comfortable option for single labels.
Where do the scanned product entries come from? From open databases kept by their communities: Open Food Facts for food, cosmetics and general goods (ODbL licence), and Open Library for books. A wrong or missing entry can be corrected directly with them, to everyone's benefit. Each Tiroko base picks its own source, or none: there is no point querying a food database for a filament spool.
What languages does the app come in? French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. It follows your smartphone's language.
